A year after graduation, I moved to northern California, studied licensed practical nursing and lived and worked at an orphanage before moving to the Denver area of Colorado and met my husband, Joe, while working in a hospital lab. We married and raised 2 sons who were just about raised when Joe died from Hepetitis C, which he was exposed to as a lab tech.  He was 56 and I was 48 when he passed.  I didn't re-marry.  Besides working as an LPN (I think they are called licensed practical nurses in CA).  Besides nursing I also worked as a secretary at a Catholic Church.  I was also a missionary in Mexico for a couple of years and was a live-in worker at the Denver Catholic Worker for 7 1/2 years.  I recently moved in to assisted living near Denver Union Station.  My oldest son, Joe Jr. lives in Thornton CO and my youngest lives in Tillamook OR.  Life just keeps rolling along.
